When we left Pokhara we arrived back in Kathmandu to visit LMV school in session. When we first arrived in Nepal we came to a workshop session on Saturday that included a food distribution. There were about 20 families attending this event and we saw the classrooms and space when school was not in session. On Tuesday we observed the 1,000 children that attend this school. There is a primary section and a secondary high school. Very crowed classroom spaces, focused children and hard working staff. (check out the photo gallery below)

From LMV school we were invited to Ram's home town, outside of Kathmandu city. It was about an hour and a half away. The Dhulikhel district is rural and set in hillside. Really beautiful space. We stayed at the Himalayan Horizon Hotel and were guests for dinner at Ram's home. We were met by his wife, 2 of his 3 adult daughters and his 2 lovable dogs! We enjoyed a tasty Nepali dinner and wonderful conversation and friendship. We have been truly fortunate to have had Ram as one of our hosts. We will always remember him and this family! We left Dhulikhel as the rains came! The Nepali people have been awaiting the rainy season. They are rationing water and the government only allows 1000 liters of water per family every 10 days. CLIMATE CHANGE PEOPLE!!!!! They have been noticing it for decades!

Back in Kathmandu we were invited to dinner at Palmo's home. The taxi weaved in and out of traffic and finally we arrived at her home. A lovely flat so beautifully decorated with her original paintings. She had just arrived home from work; she was so gracious to have us for a meal. She created so many tasty dishes for us and her husband who arrived a bit after us. They shared so many stories with us about their work and passions. Palmo has such a strong heart and is a true activist!
